Welcome Home!
Welcome to Bridgeway, a place for all people. Bridgeway Community Church is home to people from many racial, ethnic, and cultural backgrounds, including 60 different countries, who are represented in our church body weekly.
Every person is a valuable and essential part of our body. We recognize that the increased national focus on the deportation of undocumented immigrants has created uncertainty and distress for many.
This may be a particularly challenging and stressful time for those born in other countries, those who speak English as a second language, and those who are from an international ethnic background. As Scripture reminds us, “If one part suffers, every part suffers with it” (1 Corinthians 12:26).
We stand with YOU; you are not alone; your church is by your side and loves YOU.
We lift you up, treating you with the inherent dignity given to you by God, and we honor you as a critical part of our church body.
We will share with you, providing practical resources to assist you. Below are resources you can use to be informed, be prepared, and get connected to legal services.

What does the Bible say about caring for immigrants?
Leviticus 19:33-34
When a foreigner resides among you in your land, do not mistreat them. The foreigner residing among you must be treated as your native-born. Love them as yourself, for you were foreigners in Egypt. I am the Lord your God.
Hebrews 13:2
Do not forget to show hospitality to strangers, for by so doing some people have shown hospitality to angels without knowing it.
Matthew 25:34-40
“Then the King will say to those on his right, ‘Come, you who are blessed by my Father; take your inheritance, the kingdom prepared for you since the creation of the world. For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in, I needed clothes and you clothed me, I was sick and you looked after me, I was in prison and you came to visit me.’
“Then the righteous will answer him, ‘Lord, when did we see you hungry and feed you, or thirsty and give you something to drink? When did we see you a stranger and invite you in, or needing clothes and clothe you? When did we see you sick or in prison and go to visit you?’
“The King will reply, ‘Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.’ -Jesus
