When Human Love Lets You Down

Dr. Anderson will give his annual summer sermon series on an Old Testament character. This August he will spend three weeks introducing Leah, a woman who was loved less than her sister, Rachel. We all crave to be loved, but often times human love fails us. Dr. Anderson will teach us how to navigate the feelings of human love versus divine love in this new series, LEAH - When Human Love Let's You Down.

August 18th | Less-Loved

Genesis 29:16-30

Today we hear from Dr. David Anderson as he kicks off his new sermon series, an old testament character study on Leah. “When Human Love Lets You Down” teaches us about Leah’s life and that while human love can fail and lead to loneliness, God’s love remains steadfast and is the true source of comfort and fulfillment.

August 25th | Labor of Love

Genesis 29:31-35

Continuing our sermon series on “When Human Love Lets You Down,” today’s sermon from Dr. David Anderson, “Labor of Love,” emphasizes that true fulfillment and love come from God, not from human relationships. We will learn from the story of Leah and how despite her struggles to gain her husband’s love, her ultimate satisfaction came from realizing her worth in God’s eyes and learning to praise Him through her trials.

September 1st | Loving Me

Genesis 30:20

In this sermon closing out our series on Leah, Dr. David Anderson explores Genesis 30 and the emotional struggles of feeling less loved and the impact of seeking validation from others. We will learn the importance of recognizing God’s unconditional love as He encourages us to stop seeking approval from people and instead embrace their own worth in Him.
