You’ve heard the saying before, “New levels bring new devils.” It implies that as you grow to new spiritual levels and embark on new journeys, you will face obstacles and opposition you have not seen before. I believe that God is calling us to see more this year. God is opening new doors and calling us to higher levels that will require us to trust in Him.

Write Your Personal Mission Statement
It was a few weeks ago that I shared with the church what I called my “Personal Mission Statement.”
“To positively inspire & influence for Christ everyone, everywhere, every time.”
A personal vision statement is a short, 1-2 sentence statement that motivates and encourages you to stay focused on your God-given purpose. After I shared mine, I received numerous requests from our congregation to help them create theirs. I was encouraged by the number of people desiring to grow in 2024 and embrace the new levels God is calling them to.
How are you doing with creating your Personal Mission Statement?
Here are a few tips to help you start:
- Begin by writing a page about what you would like to be and/or do.
- What kind of person are you or do you want to be?
- What kind of impact or influence do you want to have with your life?
- What would you want said about you long after you are gone?
- Dwindle it down into a summary or synopsis in the form of a paragraph.
- Try to capture in one sentence what the synopsis is stating.
- Once you have your Personal Mission Statement, memorize it so you can recall it whenever you need it.
Embrace CEOs – Don’t FEAR them
Joshua 1:7 reads, “Be strong and very courageous. Be careful to obey all the law my servant Moses gave you; do not turn from it to the right or to the left, that you may be SUCCESSFUL WHEREVER YOU GO.”
In addition to your Personal Mission Statement, it’s important to be mindful of the higher-level CEOs, Challenges, Enemies, and Obstacles, you will face as you level up. Do not FEAR them, a.k.a., see them as False Evidence Appearing Real. Instead, embrace them as opportunities to grow. You will see the glory of the Lord in your success.
“Keep this Book of the Law always on your lips; meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do everything written in it. Then YOU WILL BE PROSPEROUS AND SUCCESSFUL” (Joshua 1:8).
