Merry Christmas, Bridgeway!
“For to us a child is born, to us a son is given, and the government will be on his shoulders. And he will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.” Isaiah 9:6
I pray your holiday was safe and happy, and you are in good health. As we close out 2021, I have an assignment for you:
1. Be grateful! You made it! After a difficult year, you’ve made it to the end. Give God all the praise for that! I often respond when asked how I am doing by saying, “I’m alive and grateful!” I believe this, and I hope that you are alive and grateful too!
So then, just as you received Christ Jesus as Lord, continue to live your lives in him, rooted and built up in him, strengthened in the faith as you were taught, and overflowing with thankfulness. Colossians 2:6-7
2. Be prayerful! We’re about to enter a new year which will have its own mountains and valleys. Remember to be in prayer for yourself, your loved ones, your community, and your church. You can join me on December 30 at 7:30 am for our monthly 30 Minute Prayer Call.
Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours. Mark 11:24
3. Be joyful! Don’t let Christmas be the only time you have joy in your heart. Take that joy with you everywhere you go every day of the year. Remember what I’ve said before:
“JOY” stands for Jesus Overflowing in You!
Let the love of Christ dwell richly in your heart so that when people see you, they see the Savior.
Though you have not seen him, you love him; and even though you do not see him now, you believe in him and are filled with an inexpressible and glorious joy, for you are receiving the end result of your faith, the salvation of your souls. 1 Peter 1:8-9
I pray that 2022 brings you joy, health, prosperity, and favor. I can’t wait to see what the Lord is going to do in and through your lives.
In Christ,
Dr. David Anderson
